INSTALLATION AND SCULPTURES
An installation made from animal bones that explores healing beyond life. It reflects on sacrifice, memory, and transformation suggesting that even in death, the body can carry meaning, power, and continuity.
Makata explained that he uses animal bones to explore the mortality of life as well as our earthly passage “In some ways, bones represent our truest and barest self: they are the frame of our bodies, our home and anchor in the physical world. It also signify our connection to the past, and a reminder of impermanence of life and inevitability of death”.
